Dragon Fire

Eloise Ballard is going to be the greatest dragon rider that ever lived.

That’s what she spent her life telling herself, anyway. These days, her dream seems more like a distant star than a path she’s walking. But her best friend’s death changes everything.

Grief takes over, and becoming a rider isn’t a dream anymore, it’s a necessity. She leaves for home without a second thought and heads to the city to join the trainees in the riders’ camp. First, though, she’s got to find a way in.

The camp is run by legendary rider Josiah Sharp, and he’s got the patience of a stick of dynamite. Eloise doesn’t have an invitation, and that means he’s going to throw her out the first chance he gets. At least, he’s going to try.

Eloise grew up on the outskirts of a Dead Zone—the ruins that teem with man-eating monsters—and she knows the dangers of their world better than anyone. And now that the monsters have made this personal, she’s going to do whatever it takes to get through this camp and onto a first-class strike team. Sharp’s stubbornness may be legendary, but he hasn’t met her yet.

Eloise is going to become the greatest rider that ever lived, and she’s going to rid the world of the monsters that have been hunting humans for a century.
